Book or Manage Your Test
We cater for all Commercial Vehicles from Vans, Light Trucks, Motorhomes & 4 x 4’s, to the Heaviest Trucks and Buses etc. Book your test based on the type of vehicle you own.
The 1st anniversary of your vehicle’s first registration is the date when your annual LCV/HCV test is due.
(LCV) Light Commercial vehicle is any vehicle that has a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 3500kg or less.
If you own a van or jeep (under 3500kg), you'll need a Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) test every year to renew your CRW (certificate of Road Worthiness).
Remember to bring your Driver’s License or your Passport with you.
Even if you don't use your van or jeep commercially and you tax it privately, you'll still need to get an LCV test, not an NCT.
(HCV) Heavy commercial vehicle is any vehicle that has a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 3501kg or higher.

Motor caravans
If you own a motor caravan, you'll need a Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness test to renew your CRW. The 2nd anniversary of the first date of registration is when your CVRT is due up to the age of ten and then an annual test is required.
Motor caravans that weigh 3,500 kg or less need an LCV (light commercial vehicle) test.
And motor caravans that weigh 3,501 kg or over need a HCV (heavy commercial vehicles) test.
Even if you don't use your motor caravan commercially, even if it's taxed privately, your motor caravan still needs a Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness test, not an NCT.
