In order to facilitate CVR testing centres and their customers in managing the timing aspects of carrying out CVR and ADR re-tests over the Christmas period the RSA is temporarily amending the 21 day CVR re-test rule and the 14 day ADR re-test rule.
The amendment is valid only for CVR full tests carried out between Sat 3rd Dec and Sat 24th Dec 2022(inclusive). Notwithstanding the above, we recommend that vehicles are presented for their re-tests as soon as possible after their failed test.
We will, as far as possible try and facilitate a re-test within the statutory 21 days.
